Balboa Theatre

Thank you for your interest in renting the Balboa Theatre, San Diego's historical performing arts venue with 1335 seats.

The Theatre is available for rental for cultural, entertainment, educational, civic, corporate and other special events and activities based on available dates, rates and rules and regulations.

The following materials are provided to assist you in answering questions about renting the Balboa Theatre. In addition, someone on our programming team will be happy to assist you and answer your questions.

​To confirm a potential booking, the following is required:

1. ​ A license agreement must be fully executed,
2. ​License fees and expense deposits received, and
3. ​Required insurance coverage in place and certificates received by San Diego Theatres
