San Diego Theatres, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) arts organization that manages, operates, and markets the iconic San Diego Civic Theatre, which opened in 1965, and the historic, restored Balboa Theatre, which opened in 1924. Our mission is to deliver exceptional performing arts and educational experiences, foster collaboration and partnerships, and create accessible places for all people to enjoy the arts.

However, we cannot achieve this without the support of individuals like you who are invested in the arts and recognize the value of the performing arts to San Diego’s cultural landscape. Through various activities, we strive to enrich our programming by raising funds to provide affordable and accessible performance opportunities to nonprofit arts organizations that may not otherwise be able to stage a production at the Balboa Theatre. Additionally, underwriting support and sponsorships enable us to present a diverse range of performances on stage, enriching our community through artistic expression. Your gift to San Diego Theatres will be used to increase the diversity and accessibility of arts organizations performing at these two public theatres.
